Cable front raise

Raise the arms forward to load shoulder flexion. Raise the cable attachment forward while keeping the torso still.

Required: Low cable station, Handle or bar.

  • Stand tall with the resistance in front of the thighs.
  • Keep the elbows softly bent.

How to perform the movement

  1. Raise the arms forward.
  2. Pause around shoulder height.
  3. Lower slowly.

Technique cues

  • Avoid leaning backward.
  • Keep the neck relaxed.
