A vertical bodyweight press with a forward torso angle to emphasize the chest. Use machine assistance while following the same forward-leaning dip path.

Equipment and setup

Required: Assisted dip machine.

  • Support the body above the bars.
  • Lean the torso slightly forward.

How to perform the movement

  1. Lower until the shoulders are comfortably below the elbows.
  2. Press the bars down to rise.
  3. Finish in a stable support.

Technique cues

  • Move within a comfortable shoulder range.
  • Avoid bouncing at the bottom.
